Mia Cooper

 I chose Mia because she has red hair and according to my research into the Tudor Royal line, some of the Tudors had red hair. With her red hair, Mia looks like Queen Elizabeth I. I also chose Mia because of how her hair looked, smart yet casual.

 I also pick Mia because her sweet, angelic appearance. She looks so innocent.        

Media homework 18/10/15

 The music in the opening scene of Trainspotting doesn't match the scene as the music is classical whereas the scene is seedy. The scene is first set in a drug den and then in a hotel room. The undeniable difference between music and scene is supposed to be funny.

 The scene open in a house with three people sitting at a table eating dinner. Than the scene changed from this to a dirty crack room, there is a body on the floor. There is almost a comical element in the beginning, after the talk between Mark and Mother Superior the bridge, which is a train sound, connects the classical music from the crack house to the next scene of a hotel room.

 When Mark is telling the viewer what he needs in order to get himself off drugs, he could be reading off a grocery list for all the emotion in his voice. He breaks down the hotel room's door, in order to get some pills to ease the withdrawal. Just before the scene ends, Mark say 'What the fuck are these?!'.

Library

I managed to take the photograph in the library but Mrs. Roberts, Mia and I had to be quiet. I went in the library beforehand to assess the best place to take the photograph.

Sketch

I drew a sketch of how I want the layout to look in the photo.

Masthead

I created the masthead with the text tool on Photoshop. The masthead's size is 200. The font i used was... i chose the colour black so that it stood out against the red.

Background and Masthead Colour

I chose the colour crimson red for the background because it brings out Mia's hair and uniform. I chose black for the masthead because if I had kept it red, it would have blend in with the background.

Background

I took out the background with the eraser tool and put a red background in its place.

Media homework

The first still is a two shot, medium close up and it has natural light.
The second still is a medium close up and is half dark/light.
The third still is a medium close up. it has natural light and it's camera angle is a low angle.
The fourth still is a two shot, medium close up and has main light.
The fifth still is a two shot, long shot and straight on.
The sixth still is a medium close up, straight on and has filter light.
The seventh still is a close up shot and has filter light,
The eighth still is a medium close up and has filter light.
The tenth still is an over the shoulder, medium close up and the light casts shadows over half of the male's face indicating he may be going to do something horrible. The female has her face fully lit up as if she is the victim.

Examples of written drafts to support my Pre Lim Photoshoot

On Friday 2nd of October 2015, I will have the photographs of me, Mrs. Roberts and Mia Cooper in Year 7 taken in the library. Before then I will seek permission off Mr. Taylor to use the library period 6 and check Mrs. Roberts and Mia are available. I am telling the audience that the high school seniors look out for the freshmen. The shot have to be a portrait medium close up.
